I apologize in advance, taking a picture of this was difficult so the picture quality's not great, and it was way to big to scan, even in pieces OTL If I can get my self a better picture I'll change it.
This is what I have been busting my ass off on for the past 2 months. My portfolio cover for art. I've had multiple ups and downs along the way. There were points where I was ready to rip it into pieces. I've done everything to this thing. I've gotten dirty marks on it, taken it home on the bus in the rain with only my sweater to wrap it in, and even spilled red paint all over it (ShamWow! saved the day not even kidding) yet I managed to keep it in one piece. This has is the biggest traditional media accomplishment ever for me as the whole thing was coloured with water colour paints. I got told by so many people that I was nuts for even considering water colour as the media, yet I've really enjoyed working with them. It's really relaxing as you have to learn to take your time and wait for the sections you've been working on to dry before you can move on. Looking at it I can see how as I progressed across the portfolio I began to get the hand of the paint more and more. The clear example being the hair. Alright as there is an ass load of people on this thing I will list them moving right to left across the picture. First Me, as it was a personal portfolio. Seth and his sheep. Mina. Doctor Who(specifically the 10th one <3) Askel. Lida. Miles. MAN!Lucas. FemeAlrik. Xavier and his sheep. Riley. Allen. Hitsuji and Zetsu (they're supposed to be wearing tinfoil hats). Deidara. Damien. Wocky. Izuna Keith. Simon. Edgeworth. Amaterasu. And Chase. I'm proud of my self for actually finishing it and as it's my last portfolio cover for high school I'm glad to say It's by far my best, and most interesting C: Seth, Lida, Mina, Askel, Alrik, Miles, Xavier, Riley, Allen, Damien, Keith, Hitsuji and Izuna are my own characters. Yes all of it was painted with Water colours then outlines after in pen.
It never hurts to try painting, this picture proves that for me xD

=] one more thing, it really surprised me when you said you used water colors because when i first saw the picture i thought that u might have used marker or prisma color. its pritty cool that you got the colors to look that seperated and unsmeared by using water color
I did prefer the idea of using markers, but I didn't have anywhere near enough colours and I didn't have the money to go buy. Water colours was really my only option. Once you start working with the paint you really get a feel for how they work and you learn to give your self the room for the paint to spread and the time for the paint to dry. It's not so hard once you get into it xD

Lining it really made a big difference I think, and you should definitely feel like it was worth the back and neck pain xD everything looks so much brighter and crisper with the black outline.
I still have to say that Feme!Alrik and MAN!Lucas remain my favourites xD Though I really like your hubby, too C: you got his apron the perfect colour and everything. Fuck, you just did really well on matching everyone's colours.
You must have had an assload of patience too, to wait for everything to dry and shit before painting some more. I would never be willing to wait.
And before I forget, your tinfoil hats do not look like mountains <<
It took a while but once they grew they were ready to go xD

They're one of my favorites as well xD especially MAN!Lucas, his face makes me laugh.
Considering I screw up his outfit at fist I'm happy I was abbly to fix him and make him the sexy boy he is! C:
I got so lucky with those colours though like really xD a lot of the time I was just like "OK Lest just hope this is good enough!"
I'm sure you could have handled it, I didn;t think I would but It turned out ok xD

The colours so fun yet annoying to pick xD I didn't want to repeat too much in one place.
